Early Surrender A player may surrender or fold after receiving his/her first 2 cards, but before dealer checks for an ace in the hole. If surrendered, only 50% of the wager is lost; not all of it. This is a good method for controlling player losses and thus not permitted in most land casinos.
Even Money To be paid out the same as you bet plus your original wager when you have blackjack & the dealer is showing an ace. Offered as an alternative to insurance when the dealer's face-up card is an ace and the player has been dealt blackjack. If taken, the player accepts a winning wager at the normal 2:1 rate instead of the 3:2 for blackjack.
