Introduction to Spice Island Poker
Spice Island Poker, a favorite card game throughout the Caribbean & aboard cruise ships, is played with each player competing against the dealer & not against the other players. In Spice Island Poker you place your ante, receive a hand, and the dealer receives his/her hand, each with 4 cards face down & one card face up. You then decide whether or not you'd like to wager if you believe you can win, or Surrender if you sense that your hand is inadequate. If you bet & the dealer's hand qualifies (contains an Ace/King combo or better), your hand is compared to the dealer's. Should you have a stronger hand, you win and your payoff is determined by the strength of your hand. If, on the other hand, you Surrender, you lose your ante to the dealer and the hand ends.
