Should we be surprised? We've been heading towards the age of mobile casino games for years now. When Las Vegas decided to adopt the "Whatever happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" line, we should have known that not only had gambling hit the mainstream BIG time but that mobile games wouldn't be far behind.
In 2008, people can't live without their technology. Camera plus phone...camera-phone. Ipod plus phone....iphone. With online gambling turning into a multi-billion dollar industry, mobile games were the next natural evolutionary step. And it's only going to get bigger.

The Global Betting and Gaming Consultants recently reported that global revenues from mobile casino games skyrocketed 29% in the past year. While this is still less than 1% of total online casino traffic, this is just the tip of the mobile casinos iceberg. Mobile phone companies, software developers, online casinos...they're doing everything they can just to keep up.
This just in: Customers of British mobile powerhouse Vodafone can now play multiplayer Texas hold'em poker for just four pounds per month for those who pay a flat fee for data. Players can choose from multiple tables sorted by maximum limits among other options.
And that's a global phenomenon? But wait, there's more. Spin3, a provider of solutions for the mobile gaming industry, announced a release of their GameWire mobile games package in Spanish which includes blackjack, roulette, and the Lara Croft Tomb Raider slot game. This means that it won't be long before mobile carriers and online casinos begin to offer mobile games in Spanish. Can there be any doubt that more languages are not far behind?
