Online Tequila Poker
Tequila Poker is a one-of-a-kind card game in which 2 games are actually combined into 1 - Tequila Poker, a poker-type game, and High Tequila, a hi/lo kind of game. It's this refreshing twist on common card games that has quickly thrusted Tequila Poker up the ranks among the most famous casino card games enjoyed on the Net today.
Playing the Game
Should you have even a basic poker background, you'll sail through mastering Tequila Poker with ease. If not, you'll catch on quickly.
Tequila Poker is played with one 52-card deck that is shuffled automatically after each playing round. To begin playing Tequila Poker, you simply enter your ante and click on the DEAL button. Then four cards are dealt facing up to the mid section of the table. With these initial 4 cards you play your hand according to Tequila Poker guidelines or High Tequila regulations. Or you can fold your hand, accordingly. But this means letting go of your ante.
Once you've chosen the play you prefer, Tequila Poker or High Tequila, automatically your ante wager is doubled. Next, two more cards are placed facing up next to the 4 cards dealt at the beginning of the hand. In either modes of play, the final outcome of your hand is determined by all 6 cards dealt.
Rules in Tequila Poker
When you opt to play according to Tequila Poker guidelines, all six cards are employed to construct your greatest possible 5-card poker hand. Draw two pair or more and you have won the hand. The hand-ranking order in Tequila Poker is identical to that of five-card stud poker. For instance: Royal Flush, Straight Flush, Four of a kind, a Full House, Flush, Straight, Three-of-a-Kind, Two Pairs, One Pair.
In the game of High Tequila the highest five cards are added up. (For your convenience, the total value is automatically worked out for you and is indicated on your monitor.) When the total sum of these 5 highest-ranked cards totals 46 or more, you're declared the winner and are paid out in accordance with the High Tequila pay outs indicated on the Tequila Poker table. Each number card is worth its face value, and Jacks, Queens and Kings count as 10, and Aces are valued at 11.
No matter which form you decide to play in, the pay-offs in both are only related to your bet. Antes are always paid at a 1:1 rate.
