Two Innocent Casino Employees Get Caught in Crossfire in Kenya
It was recently reported that five people were killed during a shootout that took place between local authorities and suspected robbers in Nairobi, Kenya. The shootout was staged in the parking lot of Mayfair Casino, a local gambling establishment. Shortly after the shooting, crowds were prevented from entering the area.
The firing issued as police officers chased three suspects who apparently tried to rob the casino facility. John Wanyonyi, a witness of the shootout, was reported as saying that two of the slain individuals were employed by the casino and just got caught in the crossfire.
Lydia Ayuma, the wife of 37-year-old casino security guard Zedekiah Imbote, one of the two killed bystanders, reportedly said that her husband was a regular man and did not deserve to die the way he had. Luckily, no other causalities were reported. The casino is situated near two highly visited shopping malls and upscale residents.
